The guys I work with really like those Thorogoods, but with a steel toe. For a non-steel toe boot JB is spot on with the Irish Sitters, there broke in before you ever put them on for the first time
The Irish Setters are not made here, or at least I couldn't confirm they were. The Thorogoods have mixed reviews, so I went to one of the "Made in the USA" sites and checked out Carolina, Chippewas, and others. Landed on Danners page and I have experience with them (Pronghorns that I love) so I decided to roll with their Bull Run boots. After spending another day in my "heels", I needed a different style of boot for my daily wear. Hoping these are it.
