Maybe I am missing it but what do you find staggering about the NR?

The amount of deer killedand tags sold...

The NR harvest according to what you posted is 15,066 deer. There are over 6,000 more than that killed and reported in car accidents last year.

Those are not success rates.:D That is telling you that of the deer killed by NR that 69.6% were killed during archery season, 23.8% during gun season and 6.6% during MZ season

Lol, gotcha. I read it as 11% of tags sold went to NR and 8% of deer killed were by NR. I was impressed! Lol

They purchased 11% of the tags or 51,271 and killed 15,066 deer (8% of total harvest in the state) for a success rate of 29% Except we don't know how many hunters those 51,271 tags represent to calculate the actual NR hunter success rate, we only know how many tags were sold.

If all of those tags were $24.00 it would equal $1,230,504.00

If there was just one tag per per NR hunter (unlikely) that would be $6,408,875.00 in NR hunting license sales.

If all of the tags purchased 466,102, were $24.00 each (unlikely) that would be $11,186,448.00

Still impressive success rate for travelers.

Also a lot of money, plus the cost of the hunting license/tax.
