Every year I see things that make me think “that’s how you get shot”. Usually involves someone carrying a decoy or dead deer. Maybe I’ve lost all hope in people, but I don’t trust people enough to do either of those. What about you? Would you carry a deer out on your back? Would you carry a decoy across private or public land?

On private land during bow season. What about public land? Would you walk in with a decoy? Bow or gun?

I don’t kill deer that 95% of hunters could carry. If I used a decoy I’d have it in hunters orange while carrying it.

I wouldn't carry either on public land regardless of the season. I'd use a cart or a drag for the deer. I don't use dekes. Can barely handle the gear I have.

I would not on public land. Half the private ground I have is about like public. I would not during gun season private or public unless it was a very short walk where I was very confident there were no other hunters around. Some idiot would shoot across property lines towards me otherwise.

Kinda how I feel. I also would want to be seen by the road on any of the properties I hunt.

I've never used a decoy, dont think I ever will. Mostly because I'm a lazy bastard and I try to only take the essentials. For most private properties I wouldn't have an issue with carrying a decor or carcass. I wouldn't carry a carcass because I have an ATV and chainsaw, and again imma lazy bastard. Public, no way in hell would I mess with a decoy and during gun season which I wouldn't be found on public during gun season but I'd bring an extra orange vest for anything I drag or carry out. Cause idiots....
