I love how when Urban took his Hiatus from Coaching he took every opportunity possible to Drag the SEC recruiting practices through the mud.. When the topic of Cam Newton came up here is what he had to say..

"What I've seen the last five years is a complete turn in the integrity of the college coaching profession," Meyer said during an Indianapolis radio interview with Dan Dakich, a former Indiana and Bowling Green coach. "It's completely turned the other way. Maybe I wasn't exposed to it because I was in the profession. Right now, it's not good because the risk-reward is 'Have at it, do what you've got to do to get the great player, go win games and at the end of the day we'll find out what happens down the road. What are the odds an SEC football coach gets sat down for a secondary violation? How much money will an SEC school spend to lawyer up and defend its coach?'"

And then he comes to OSU and is lights out recruiting like a SEC Boss! lmao Maybe there is hope for the OSU football program after all.

Who said he was recruiting using indiscriminate practices?

Who has proven anyone has used those practices he was talking about? He was talking out his ass. Now people could assume the same about him as he did them. I personally don't care. If you ain't bending the rules you ain't trying.

I'm sure.. According to him prior to takin the osu job apparently the sec HAS to be corrupt to recruit star players on stellar teams. So what now?

All I'm saying is he couldn't prove anything, but ran his mouth on speculation... Now that he's pulling recruits like an sec team, one could just as easily say the same about him.

He's a damn good coach and I see good things in the future for OSU. I just find the double standard of accusations funny. Especially when he was the one accusing.

C'Mon Joe. Cam was deemed innocent by NCAA cuz he didn't know Daddy was pimping him out. Michigan has a kid committed for nearly a year last year and Alabama goes down and usue their high school for a practice and "donates" $20,000 plus to their school and he magically flips to their school. Your beloved LSU has a booster that paroled a guy 20 years earlier than agreed upon with the prosecutor. Oh, BTW, his son was a 5 star CB named Jai Eugene. The majority of the SEC is just crazy with all these stories. Maybe they are stories, but usually where there is smoke, there's fire. Not to mention all the oversigning and cutting of players they do

And now Myers is Smoking, yet before he was the one screaming fire... That's all I'm saying.. The very guy screaming "where there is smoke there's fire" Is now the one smoking.. Why is it that A SEC team has to be a bunch of cheats to pull good recruits.. Yet Myers (the very man who cried foul) comes up here and pulls good recruits and miraculously he's "by the book"... That's all I'm saying. Seems he had no problem dragging people through the mud for getting good recruits when he was on the bench.. Yet now that he's pulling good recruits he's not popping off anymore.. He knows what it takes, he knows what he needs to do, and it looks like he's doing it.. He's just not screaming foul and running his mouth anymore that he's the one in the captains chair.

They all do it..The key is don't get caught and be good while doing it. Miami got caught and they have sucked for years.. You gotta admit though Joe, the national media likes to blast OSU. When was the last you heard of the Miami situation?

Classic example of "haters gonna hate"...

Exactly.... And now that he's reeling in recruits like a champ, he isn't hating anymore.. It's just Amazing how that worked out. He took a bad loss to Bama in the 09 SEC championship game when at FL, took a leave of absence and ran his mouth about recruiting practices the whole time.. Dude was just bitter and out looking to stir shit.... But now he's on top and pulling great recruits he's all but shut up..

Urban had like 32 recruiting violations then left for "family reasons". He is the one that started texting recruits when the law was no contact via phone. Lol.

Now he is at OSU he will be known as a saint until the next blow up at the university...then fans will all say "we didn't see that coming". lmao

Well, Michigan basically dropped him like a used rubber after he did that stuff. Up until then the kid had done nothing to make you think he was trouble. What should us UM fans think? How about Urban keeping Jamal Berry around knowing he's a drug junkie and has been nothibg but a giant headache since he's been at OSU. Oh, that's right, he's a 5 star talent that actually happens to be the style of RB that Urban prefers

I wasn't bashing, just asking if you knew, you big sensitive women.. ;) I am glad they drooped him.. Funny how none of you urban bashers don't mention how he kicked two guys off the team for getting in trouble already. Tressel would have just suspended them for the first half if the Toledo game..

Personally I would think with all the shit that has happened at OSU and around college football as a whole, Urban would be running a taut ship. I know the haters of OSU will be watching TOO.
