rotflmao That's a good one Oakswamper. I'd say finish the hole. If he wins, let him celebrate and gloat a bit.....Then hand him the ball and say "Here, WE Cheated"

That's funny right there man!!

You wouldn't believe the cheating I witnessed in the 6 years of competitive golf I played. I never did turn anyone in though. I did watch a guy from another team knock a guy out and land him on his golf bag breaking both legs of his stand bag for talking in his back swing... :smiley_crocodile:

A young man and a priest are playing together. At a short par-3 the priest asks, "What are
you going to use on this hole, my son?"

The young man says, "An 8-iron, father. How about you?"

The priest says, "I'm going to hit a soft seven, and pray."

The young man hits his 8-iron and puts the ball on the green.

The priest tops his 7-iron and dribbles the ball out a few yards.

The young man says, "I don't know about you, Father, but in my church, when we pray,
we keep our head down."

This thread lost some posts along the way, that is pretty weird...

All in all, this has been an up and down year for my golf game. I took a couple of weeks off and it seemed to help me a little, but I'm still not putting it all together. Jamie and I played in a little impromptu scramble last week at Oxbow and redeemed ourselves for losing earlier in the year to the same pairing. My driving has made the biggest jump as I am routinely driving the ball 300+ right now. Unfortunately the parts of my game that had been carrying me, chipping and putting, have eluded me most of the year. Hopefully one of these days most of the pieces will fall in to place and I'll shoot a good round!!!

Had a good round going the last league night until I got to 9 and I proceeded to hit 2 in the pond and 1 in the creek short of the green for a 10 and shot 44:smiley_crocodile:

Was glad to see Tiger get his game back on track and get a win. I didn't get a chance to watch much of it, but seen most of the highlights.

Played another 18 yesterday and it was more of same. Shot an 84 at Oxbow and there is no reason it could not have been sub 80, which I have never done at that course. My good golf right now, is par or a little better. But my bad golf is really bad golf. Prime example was on the 575 Par 5 10th hole. I hit a 325 yard drive, followed that with a 240 yard 3-wood that was dead straight and landed within 10 yards of the green. I proceeded to pull my head and flub the chip, then did the same thing again on my 4th shot. WTF?!? I ended up with a 7 on a hole I could have birdie had my head not been so far up my ass I choked on a fart. On the Par 3's, I had double bogey, bogey, bogey, bogey for a total of 5 over on those! Sum beech!!! My putting was suspect as well with
35 putts...

The good news is that I hit 12 of 14 fairways (or at least close enough to play a good second shot) and had 9 GIRs. Not great, but I've had rounds where I scored the same and didn't have near those numbers. I also started out with 3 straight pars, which I have never done on that course. The first hole always kills me, as does the third. The third is a 385 yard Par 4 with a guarded green. My drive was 310, I hit an 8-iron just shy of the green, putted from the fringe and left a kick in par.

Sooner or later I will put it all, or nearly all together and have a round I can be proud of!!!

Played 18 last Friday by myself and played 18 yesterday with a buddy. Last Friday's round went pretty well overall as I was playing a best ball set up since there was no one behind me and I got log jammed behind league play. I ended up 3 over, but was 2 under at one time before getting slowed down. I am a rhythm golfer and the second I lose that, my game goes to shit. I had several drives over 300, including one that was 330.

Yesterday we played 9 straight up, then played in a two man scramble against a couple buddies we see on the course all the time. They beat us by 2 the first time around, we won by 2 the second time, and won by 3 last night. We finished at even par, but were 2 under at one point. The second hole is a 349 yard dog leg left with an elevated tee. If you draw it just right, you can reach the green. I driven the other 340 yard Par 4 that is a similar set up, but never this one until yesterday. That made my day!!!
