At first glimpse I thought that was a huge non-typical rack laying behind him! Lol
That's a heck of a nice looking piece of landscape deco! It would score near 250" but it lacks symmetry. IMO. Lmao

That's what I thought at first TOO!!! I was thinking: "Who the hell leaves a shed like that outside?!?"
Rotflmao fellas!!! Ha, you should hear my wife,daughters and my mom talk about Ron and I and our passion!
After a couple mornings of weapons related "operator error," I brought in the "A" team this morning. This was one of the nicest spring mornings weather wise I can remember...certainly the best of this season so far. This gobbler pitched off of the branch and landed 10 steps behind us. Corey tried to get turned on him but he spooked and flew across to the opposite ridge. He immediately started to gobble on the opposite bank so we flanked him and that was all it took. For those who think turkeys learn from their mistakes, this was the second consecutive morning this 1 1/4" spur 3 or 4 year old gobbler marched into a firing squad.

We were on his level probably 100 yards or so from his tree. It was pretty neat watching him fly to us...looked like a stealth bomber on final approach.
Great Job Mike! I'm suprised the turkey's down there don't have Wanted Posters out with your pic on it.
Congrats to the Rex family! We have had zero luck roosting birds this year. Making it tough on us.

Phil -what are you doing to try and make them gobble on the roost in the evening?
Read today that a Coyote Howl is a good alternative to get a gobble on the roost, is that so? I've never roosted one due to convenience (my best spots are 1 and 2 hrs away) but I'm thinking this is the very best way to approach it from what I'm reading. The post also said to hit any call more than once as the first will only get his attention at times?
What would you guys suggest to use? Now I am beginning to wonder. It is not like I have but two days experience in the field hunting turkeys. Educate me. Lord knows I could use it. haha

When I saw Mrex's post I sent him a text to find out what they have been doing. They are just cutting real loud to get 'em to respond. Mason and I just got back from putting one to bed. He gobbled on his own, but we did make him gobble a couple more times to dial in his location. He was the only bird we heard, and I think I've been trying to kill this one for a couple of years.
