I REALLY hope you didn't cut him up yet. If you do a search in the NWTF record book, those spurs, if officially 2", may score in the top 20 birds ever recorded for spur length. I personally saw a set of 2 1/4" spurs down in Georgia. Either way, that is an incredible bird. I would be getting him mounted.
Nice! Here is a question for ya. You think those birds are actually that old or could they be "freaks" who for whatever reason have quicker than average spur growth? Just lookin for your opinion. A buddy and I were discussing the same topic the other day. He has one with giant spurs he killed a few yrs ago.
