The Reds should have swept the series last night against the Giants. Phillips going to third early in the game and getting thrown out cost us one run, then Rolen boots a routine ground ball at 3rd. Hopefully they can seal the deal this afternoon!

That was a tough ball for Scott, but he should have handled it. If you watch the replay, he takes his eye off the ball before the third hop. And IMO, we should have sent Chapman back out for the 10th. I don't agree with that decision...

Dad and I were talking about this last night, he has to be able to come in a pitch more than one inning. Hell Dusty had talked about eventually making him a long reliever or putting him in the rotation eventually. If we can't pitch more than one that sure as hell isn't going to happen.

If there was ever a time for him to throw more than one inning, last night was it. Obviously we would have needed to score to make it work, but that was a huge game last night and I trust him to shut them down for at least one more inning. Mark my words, that game will come back to bite us in the ass, even if we win tonight...

I was thinking the same damn thing. Hanigan get a passed ball off his glove was more dissappointing to me than Rolans error.

I agree. Although I believe he got crossed up and that is tough even for a pro, but he still should have handled that ball IMO.

That guy has been flawless up until last nite. His little bobble is what set the runners in position to score. I guess Leake has the ball tonite, I think he will do fine and they need the W tonite so Im pleased with Dusty's decision to give him the ball.

Dusty needs his head checked. Leake was in 2 innings too long and why they even pitched to Sandoval just now is beyond me. Arredondo is throwing BP.

Dusty is the weak link in the Reds chance to make it to the World Series. I thought the Reds played way better when Price was filling in. I just hope Latos pins down the Giants and the bats get rolling today.

Couldn't agree more. If Phillips, Votto, and Bruce don't get the bats rolling today we are in trouble. I think Cozart was the only one who did anything with the bat yesterday besides Ludwick's homerun.

HA. Yep. Saw it coming. IMO, Dusty didn't in the way he managed that game. I'm just a podunk redneck ball player who never made it, but I do feel he is mostly to blame for this failure. I will point the finger at Rolen, BP, Votto, and Bruce also. Just a pitiful 3 game stretch.

The Yankees will out experience the Orioles in this series and play the Tigers after Verlander shuts the A's down later tonight.

The Cardinals are built for the playoffs, and I picked them to win this series. But after Werth's walk off tonight, I'll give the nod to the Nationals now. They have Big Mo on their side now and they are at home in front of a great crowd.

I have the Tigers over Yanks, Nationals over Giants, with the Tigers winning it all. Jimmy Leyland is a baseball man and I think he's one of the best players manager of all time. And he's an Ohio boy. That's just me going out on a limb!
