This weekend is gonna be a great time, We have plenty of food, activities, drinking,... but I am also hoping to crush a deer or 2. But I got a question. Is there gonna be somebody there who is familiar with the area, to give us a heads up on some spots to sit.
I have printed off the park map, and looked at the area with mytopo and google earth, and I gotta tell ya, To a flat lander who is used to hunting small (40 or 50 acre) farms, this place looks imposing.

I'm used to looking at an arial photo and finding the field edges and creeks, but all I see is hills, hills, hills... and lots and lots of woods. never hunted an area like this. i'm excited to get in there and check it out.

We will get everyone taken care of. Jesse is going to print out a big map and before people head out I would like them to pin their general area. Many that hunt the hills can attest its very easy to get turned around. It'll make it easier to send out a search party if we know a general area where someone is. last thing we want is people joining the fugarewe tribe. It may be a good idea for guys to bring a walkie talkie. They're illegal to use in aiding a hunter to take game. But can be used if someone gets turned around or needs help and doesn't have a cellphone signal.

Haha. Funny we are already planning a search party!
There is nothing to worry about guys. It is the same as hunting anywhere else, you can only be at one spot at a time, so don't worry about what's over the hill. We saw a lot of deer when Mason and I went down to see Mike a couple of weeks ago. Unless they have moved off the acorns, we should be in good shape to see deer...they were everywhere, hopefully they still are!

I think it would be a cool thing to line them all up pouring out smoke and take a pic for Brock and his site lol.

Well Greg, one of the four has too be the camera man...... Just sayin..... rotflmao

I thought we could have four hunters in one tree, and I could be waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay over there, filming from a distance! My camera has pretty good zoom! LMAO!

Seriously, I will film for whomever this weekend. I'm gonna take Kate Friday evening, but Friday morning through Sunday Evening are open for filming some fellow TOOzers. Maybe we can put together a couple videos for the site TOO! Maybe a couple How-To videos!

Hope you guys have a blast this weekend!

I was still tentative but having to work 2nd shift on Friday, I wouldn't be able to get down until Saturday evening at the earliest.

My parents are renting a cottage down at Indian Lake this weekend and invited us down Saturday. Can't pass up a chance to chase Crappie and Saugeye with my old man.

Take lots of pics!!
