You're talking about the moon being overhead at 5 pm right? I think moonset was sometime after 9 pm here in Medina county tonight. I did hunt this evening and saw a pretty good amount of movement. I saw 7 does, but no bucks. The does were acting pretty playful, too. The first group of 4 that came through (around 6 oclock I think) were running, chasing each other and jumping around. It was pretty funny to watch actually. I was set up in the woods a couple hundred yards in from the corn field.

Yep was talking about moon being overhead. This whole weekend should be excellent.

I rattled in two dinks that were fired up tonight. They locked up and went at it right in front of me. Then at last light after a gunt/rattle sequence, a buck circled me and was just out of view. I did watch the tree he was thrashing swing back and fourth waiting for him to step out, but he never did.

Nothing in my area. Bumped one walking in. My buddy did the same thing on another property maybe 10 miles away. Talked to a third hunter that said he only saw a spike. For whatever reason, they didn't seem to be moving in my part of Ohio. I was in a great area too. I could see down the edges of a corn field on the corner. Narrow strip of woods/creek separated it from a secluded (and already picked) bean field. I had a great observation stand to the corn and they just weren't moving.

Took leave tonight for a few hours bc of the moon and weather, unfortunately they didnt move til late and nothing I wanted to shoot walked. I think people tresspassing plays a part on this later movement bc the deer on this property have been comfortable all year until i started having problems 2 weeks ago.

Damn they seemed to be moving like crazy in my neck of the woods this morning. I saw 11 deer, all does and fawns. I saw 2 at 8:20, and all the rest were moving between 10 and 11 a.m.

Saw 1 buck tonight and that was it. All he did was stand up for about 10 minutes and then bedded back down in the crp...

Saw a buttload of deer yesterday morning... 11 total, 9 were moving between 9:45 and 11 a.m... pretty close to moon rise.

I saw a big doe with two fawns last night about 45 minutes before the moon was completely overhead. I didn't get a shot at momma and despite her one fawn being a hoss, I didn't want to fool with a deer unless it was big. I have definitely been watching the moon a lot more and the finding are certainly interesting!
