Ohiosam, thank you for the info. I typically buy a stripped lower then build the rifle off that. Had a few lowers made while in San Diego with unit insignia and all that engraved. I have upper receivers ready to put on, just need the lowers. Thank you for the replies.

Good luck with ammo. I found a shop in the middle of no where that had some. Stay away from box stores and hit the small guys. They may have some.

People are paying absolutely ridiculous prices on armslist and other places for 223 ammo. I wish I had about 10 thousand rounds to come off, a guy could make a killing right now.

I bought 80 rounds of PMC in .223 this weekend at a local pharmacy that no one knows even sells ammo. They still had 40 rounds left and a ton of 9mm. It was 16.99 a box, so I over paid, but not by a lot and now I have some ammo for when the gun shows up...

A friend of mine had 8 cases of .223 last week on his store shelf. A guy came in and bought them all in one swoop.

Chat-Ching!

It will recover. This crap our douchenozzle president is proposing wont go through

It has already started to recover in areas. 2-3wks ago ammo was doing $1/rd and it has been recently seen back in the $0.63 range. Had a buddy pick up a Bushmaster last weekend at a show for $1250. Said the guy stood there all day wanting $1500 and he walked out the door with the AR for $1250. This was a friend in TN. I think some of the hoopla is wearing off. AR's were doing $1500-2000 his direction a few weeks ago. If this stuff doesn't go thru you will be seeing them for $800 again.

I think the chances of an AWB seems to be dropping. I'd expect ar availability to easy some.

I'm still a little concerned about magazines and very concerned about private transfers.

I think this AWB wont have a pot to piss in if ALL gun owners stand united and fight any legislation that is proposed. Its time that we realized any attack gun rights is an attack on gun rights as a whole. Its very aggravating when there are people who say things like "ban hi-cap magazines I'm a duck hunter. I don't need them". They'll eat those words down the road if they don't change. Just ask any shooter in Britian or Australia

I have been kicking myself for not getting one several months ago when I was thinking about it. Shit I even PM'd Beaner to get some info. If they get done to $800 again, I will have one.

Me too Big H. I have wanted one for years and just wouldn't spend the money. A few months ago I almost went ahead and got one but didn't. Wishing I would have now. I would love to have a DPMS A3 Lite 16.
