Thanks Dennis. I think I will head out and try to rent one of the big industrial dehumidifiers tomorrow or at least a big fan. Probably not a bad idea to snag any fan we have in the house and turn it on in the basement though. Good idea.

How deep was the water? Is it drywall to the floor? Not to alarm ya but if its drywall you may need to punch some holes and air it out too, black mold can grow inside a wet wall

No drywall. Finished by 1970's standards. Ugly paneling in half but it is far from "tight". Water was probably 1.5-2" when I got it drained with the new pump. Carpet isn't anything nice. It was old and junky when I bought the place. We are talking block basement from 1947 with low ceilings. Nothing we could really "finish". Half is storage, furnace, washer/dryer, sump pump, softener, pipes, etc. The other half is fridge, freezer, workout equipment/clothes rack (same thing hahaha), and a section partitioned off for my office. The original house was a 30x30 cape cod so we aren't talking a huge area.

Sorry for the derail on the shed thread Ric/Ron. I think it has turned into the Ric/Ron/Phil/Dennis chat room. lmao

I'll be back at it tomorrow with the wife, I plan on hitting a couple places, one of them is a total non hunting area, "mound in miamisburg" I know for a fact there are a few record bucks in that area and they don't have very far they can go

Rental places were all closed. Called a buddy. Rounded up 2 more dehumidifiers and a huge fan on wheels. Been running all day. Just home from Carrie Underwood concert and the house isn't as funky smelling. Things starting to dry out. Wish I had a chance to make it out shed hunting this weekend but it just wasn't in the cards.

I managed to get out and burn up some boot leather yesterday...found 6 sheds. One of them is a real nice 5 point side, the rest are from little bucks. Also, when I was walking out across a winter wheat field, my phone rang, so I set the sheds down on the ground. As I was reaching down to pick them back up, I looked down and and found an arrowhead laying right in front of me!

Sorry guys, no sheds, but I hoofed it for almost 2 hours looking for the right sides of my last 2 70" inchers. No such luck! The green up is really coming on strong and my honey holes are shedless. I will still search, but this season is coming to a close, FAST!

I went out and nosed around alittle while setting up two trail cams around the perimeter of the picked cornfield I'll be turkey hunting on this next month. Didn't find anything.

Then went to another farm and snuck within 70 yards of a yote sunning himself in a slough of a pasture field. Wish I had my Marlin 22! Dang! Snuck back out hoping he'll stick around till tomorrow. The LO said go ahead and kill him but I had to get back to the house and get ready for work.

He also told me about some other parts of his farm I can look in that haven't been touched yet. Hoping to hit them tomorrow between thunderstorms. Lol

Great finds AM! Nice looking Lab Too! I see that your in the Cleveland area, did you find those in the burbs?
A couple of Springs ago, I had a bridge job on Grainger rd.just off of 480. One Monday morning, I was eating my breakfast in my truck. Not 25 yards from me, was 3 bucks all carrying head gear bedded in a backyard. What amazes me, is that there was very little woods for th too live in. What little woods that there was, was along the railroad tracks. In all honestly, I kinda felt sorry for them. They don't have the luxuries as their brothers and sisters in southeastern Ohio.
I shed hunted after work, along the RR tracks and saw a few buck rubs and beds, but no sheds were found.
