Haha Brock!

Here are a few pics Ron took when I got him to deer camp before we skinned him. Thanks bro!

This is a pic taken after we weighed him on the beef scale at 221 lbs.

Do you write for a living? If not, you should. Enjoyed every word. The pictures are great too. No doctoring up, just real life pics. No pun intended, your the one with character!

So happy for you to accomplish such an awesome event. Now your daughter will get a first hand experience of what your passion is all about... Your respect for the animal is something, that only a few of the big buck hunters that I know, that you express in a way that someone like me may never get. You truly are ate up with it!

I'll tell you Ric, I was impressed when I got the text Monday morning that you were hunting on a gut feeling, and a few hours later BBD! To chase a deer for several years and then harvest it has to be a great feeling, and I can honestly say that it could have happened to a better guy. I admire the time you put in and the knowledge you have, and am so pumped you killed this deer. IMO, the only picture that comes close to doing this deer justice is the last one, and you truly can't appreciate this deer without seeing it in person. Glad I was able to swing by and meet the guys at deer camp and see this buck. Very impressive, and I'm very happy for you buddy.

I seen this thread today while at work. I couldn't bring myself to read it while working because I knew it was going to be a good one. I wanted to read the entire history and see the pics I knew would be posted along with it.

Helluva read and buck there Ric. I may give ya shit about knowing deer like some people do other sports stats but dang it, That's you and shows your passion for our sport and one has to respect that in a person. The ability to remember every 1/8" of bone is what got you to where you are today buddy. Remembering what buck dropped that antler and where he liked to roam put you both on a crash course. Glad you won that match and get to take this story back home with you. I know you will showcase him in all his glory and have the pics to show his majestic being over the years. Congrats again on a very nice well deserved buck Ric and YKW, glad to know you and call you a friend. Couldn't have happened to a better person man.

I really enjoyed reading your write up Ric. I have kept checking back for it and it did not disappoint. Thank you for all that you share on here. I have gained a lot of great deer hunting knowledge from you and I know I will continue to gain even more down the road. You are a humble guy for such an accomplished hunter and I believe that is why everyone is so pumped for you when you get it done. Congrats on a great buck and thanks again for all you share.
