It'll be interesting TOO see what Wally World does, if anything. They were so quick to drop Paula Dean, but as big as a cash cow DD is for them .... it'll just be interesting.

Nothing. Big difference between dropping the N word and referencing the Bible and stating your opinion. Paula Dean claimed she wanted a big plantation house and wanted to host a party with young black male servants. Umm. . . that is pretty danged extreme. Phil gave an opinion and reason why. She flat out crossed the line.

She was a wedding planner and the bride and groom wanted it. It's not that uncommon actually for people getting married at antebellum homes in the south. The wedding is theme and the staff are simply part of that era. When you go to the south and visit plantation homes the staff is all wearing period attire. The men in suits the women in big dresses and the house and plantation staff are all black and dressed for the times. It's nothing crazy and racist. It is what it is. If you got married in a castle with a mid evil theme would you not want your wait staff dressed as such. Has nothing to do with racism. Besides. If the black staff was uncomfortable with taking the job then they don't have to apply. So obviously the ones that do saw no issue with it. It's not like they whipped kunta Kentas bare back with a whip as he shined the best mans shoes.

I only saw a handful of episodes of the show. And was getting sick of seeing DD merchandise on every aisle of every store. But Phil is my new hero. Refering to the time before the civil rights movement as "pre entitlement" Classic.

The points he was making were pertaining to the moral degradation of society. I agree with him.

More people are pissed off over this then Benghazi, fast and furious and any of the other scandals our current administration has potentially been a part of. This upsets me more.

It is good that America still has enough Christian minded and f family centered people to back Phil up but they are more focused on a really tv show and their entertainment than what is happening in our world. But perhaps it is the spark to start shifting America back to a different path.

At some point in time people reach a breaking point what that breaking point is, is anyone's guess just so happens this might be it or maybe the Utah ban on gay marriage getting overturned and marriage licenses being issued..... Sometimes it's big or sometimes it's small but it takes something too get people too act....

I agree with this as well. In my opinion, the degradation of society has nothing to do with color. It is an entire class of society expecting the hand outs and it is not pointing to blacks, whites, latinos, or any specific race in my opinion.

Exactly. A friend works a Church food give away for the Holidays. A black lady shows up in a newer Cadilac for her free food. It's given but she comes back a hour or so later and my friend refuses to give her the free food. She starts hollowing racism. He said you where here earlier. She claims no then he shows her car tag number.
Boy was she pissed. Just a thief.

They said they will still sell duck commander items. That brand belongs to the robinsons. The duck dynasty stuff belongs to AE. I wonder if in a round about way they just said they'll be pulling the duck dynasty stuff over AEs antics.

I can see that in a way, but why alienate your customer base by doing something such as this in the "round about way"? More too lose then too gain.....

Cracker Barrel reverses it's decision and offers an apology.

Dear Cracker Barrel Customers:

When we made the decision to remove and evaluate certain Duck Dynasty items, we offended many of our loyal customers. Our intent was to avoid offending, but that’s just what we’ve done.

You told us we made a mistake. And, you weren’t shy about it. You wrote, you called and you took to social media to express your thoughts and feelings. You flat out told us we were wrong.

We listened.

Today, we are putting all our Duck Dynasty products back in our stores.

And, we apologize for offending you.

We respect all individuals right to express their beliefs. We certainly did not mean to have anyone think different.

We sincerely hope you will continue to be part of our Cracker Barrel family.

I'd say it's fairly save too say it's all about the money and their income is heavily on the side of Phil Robertson supporters..... Regardless I'm just glad too see their change of heart.... Nice down too earth way of wording it as well....
