Well no luck tonight, not a thing. Tomorrow may be promising tomorrow with the cold from and rain coming through Tuesday morning so hopefully that will motivate to make them move around. It was a peaceful night though.

Skunked. The barn set up probably got screwed yesterday for a spell. We'll be back I'm sure, its a "sneaky" way to hunt.

Looks like some rain later in the week will make for some great weather next weekend. I'm hoping to spend most of the weekend in the woods. We have some work to do on the new property I picked up, so we may spend midday both days up there getting things done.

Felt good to hunt an old stomping grounds woods this morning. Came in with no cameras. No scouting. Just a mid summer check of tree stands. No intentions of shooting anything. This past weekend I hunted a particular buck and felt I was pressuring them and putting undue pressure on myself. This morning I had 2 does and 3 youngins under me 3 different times. At full draw 3 times. Not a sure thing shot so I elected to pass rather than chance a couple questionable limbs. I am truly enjoying this sit. This is what it is supposed to be about.

Text communicating with my foreman. He has things well under control. Probably sit until the phone call comes in telling me our new (to us) backhoe is on its way. Then I will head back to the shop to take delivery.

Back in the stand where I missed a doe a week ago. I can hunt only today and tomorrow afternoon and thats it for this week until maybe Saturday. Hopefully I get a chance at redemption tonight.
