Broke down and bought a new crossbow tonight after getting tired of struggling with trying to get the other one to work. Little fine tuning in the morning and checking the broadheads after sleeping in and I will be out in the woods tomorrow evening with 100x the confidence in my equipment.

Had a small 8 walk thru then 30 minutes later a yote 50+yds out going the opposite direction. 5min later I hear two of em barking and howling... I've never had such a coyote problem before. Every morning I've been out I've heard them and had at least one within 50 yards. Except for one hunt I didn't see one.

Been out since 0600, nothing but trains so far lol... Couple owls going at it before day break and the occasional crows, geese and sparrows lol

Skunked again, but it was a great day too be elevated above and seeing the sun rise.... Nice cool temps and a slight breeze should of been a good deer sighting morning but oh well there's always tomorrow lol.... As well as this evening lol.....

I'll be going out this evening, the wind is supost to calm down and be a good wind for me to hunt, one of my shooters was in lastnight... The one night I don't go out the whole week and ofcourse he comes in, let's hope he reappears tonight!

Productive morning seeing a small 8, a spike, and three does. And... Another coyote but he was outta range. And this guy was barking up a storm at me. Gonna thaw the others out and make some pot pie tonight. View attachment 24520

Settled into the blind nice and early today. Wind is about perfect and should be a nice sit. All I'm missing is a buck but hopefully he will be here right before dark.

Ryan, new crossbow is a TenPoint Titan Xtreme. Currently has 100 grain slick trick magnums for the blind.

Popping the cherry on this years season tonight. Brought my nieces husband along to The Ridge. Kinda windy but seems to be dieing down.

Kicked up a doe on our way in, hopefully she circles back around.

So much for the target panic you talked a out. Just aim small at a deer like you did with this squirrel and you'll be all set.

Im in a stand I haven't hunted in almost 2 weeks. Wind is right tonight but it's unseasonably warm. 60 degrees is not normal for us this time of year. Oh well, can't kill em from the couch so here I am.
