Travis and I plan to shoot every deer we see within range. I've got 5 spots picked out around the park.

Told the wife last night after sitting for the 3rd hunt and not seeing a damn thing " I pity the first fuggin deer that steps in range" If given a chance I plan to blast the hell out of something. I am buck hunting my properties only but hell I can't even see a deer let alone a buck deerz lol. Some poor doe is about to have a very bad day lol.

They are putting new rubber flooring down in our work area and are going to throw the old stuff in the trash. It's in good shape and it's the kind that locks together and is 12"x12" pieces. I can get it if anybody is interested in it and bring it to Strouds with me. It's dirty but nothing is broke or torn up. Gotta let me know though because I'm not working Friday and would have to get it tomorrow. There is roughly 170 square feet.

My plan. I will not get there until sometime late morning Saturday. I figure it should be just in time to help a few TOOzers drag some deer out. After that its all about meeting and shaking the hands of all the members. Hopefully I can find a place Saturday evening to sit for a couple hours and see if a doe happens by. Then its all about spending the rest of the time chewing the fat with all the TOOzers.

Reality is though that I will spend a lot of time throwing the ball for our dog. He never tires out and his ball seems to be his life.

Not being able to play fetch with my dog may make me homesick :)

I don't know if we are bringing deer gear or squirrel gear yet, but I'm going to start gathering up some kinda gear today. Its fast approaching go time!

Take both lol.

I'm going with both. If I don't get out early in the morning I might just go chase some tree rats and then after lunch go sit with the muzzy for the evening deer hunt.

Just a heads up on hunting around the park, with all the new bike/hike trails it almost makes it impossible as they cover alot of the ridges and hills surrounding the park. Seems like every year a new section of trails open up or expand.

Are those approved trails? As far as I was aware if the trail was not approved by the park then the rules don't apply.

Those are all approved trails and have trail head signs, my buddy hunted a spot opening weekend that has been a great producer over the years and boom... bike riders and hikers all morning. They continue to reroute, branch off, and create trails so not sure when it will stop but wanted to give you guys a heads up.. if your on foot its no biggie to step over the next ridge but if you set up a stand and have to reset that is a pain.

I can bring stuff for breakfast Sunday morning if no one else is. Can bring that instead of Chili I was going to bring since it sounds like quite a few are brining lunch and supper stuff.

Just say the word if no one else is bringing it.

Anyone have an idea of a count of people?

I was planning on bringing paper and plates as well as plastic utensils and trash bags.... Let me know if there's anything else that we'll need?
