Yep Zach that is up there. My buddy and I were once young and dumb and had some nosebleed stands also.lol Most of my sets are 15 to 22 feet now and just alot better shot angle at this height I like multiple trunk trees or trees with good cover.I have killed my best bucks at these lower heights plus just feel safer.
Enjoy the nosebleed section.lol

Was a beautiful morning in the woods despite the wind. I am thinking a few guys cut their hunt short this AM due to being underdressed. I broke out the long johns and heavy coat to fight the NW wind in my face, and while I didn't see anything, the woods had a great feel to it. Won't be long now and the deer should start moving pretty decent.

Good luck guys!

I think I'm in a good spot tonight it just feels right. I'm in a fence row of white oaks that comes off of a thicket where they bed. I have corn on both sides and the acorns are everywhere. There are several scrapes and tracks also, temps are supposed to drop I hope they are on their feet tonight.

No tracking tonight Phil, I had an 8 and a 6 show after the button buck to chow for a bit but no shooters, it was a good hunt though.

Good luck Chad!

Great looking set up Derek! What wind direction do you prefer when hunting that set. Do you like it blowing straight way from the bedding area with the tree line(from bedding area to you and beyond) or a cross wind?

Pretty slow. Had a button buck and unidentified deer of same size stroll by at 35yds. No clear shot. Beautiful morning. Plenty of squirrels moving. Looking for Mr Big.

Home for lunch. Pulled a couple cards. Maybe they will tell me something. Or maybe not. Planning on hitting it this evening as well.
