Cant wait till 3:30 when i can get in the woods. Saw a 6 point chase a doe this morning when i was out running.

I set up on the ground today. Skunkded except for a coyote. No shot offered. Mason is in the hotseat this afternoon!

Was questioning my stand choice when I heard 3 deer make a ruckus exiting corn. Been listening to combine 1/4-1/2 Mile away. Watching those deer confirmed I needed to move. Small buck, button buck, and a low to mid 130" 8pt. He was a beauty. Wide, heavy, symmetrical. Might have to kill him if he comes by again. Smaller than anything on the wall but I don't care. He was gorgeous. Good brow tines too. Is it the hunt, the kill, or the inches? I am a busy guy. Today he would do. Just feeling like ending the season and filling the freezer. Out of character for me but I don't care. He was pretty.

One of my beat hunts ever. The bucks where hovering around like vultures . It just didnt stop. Had 3 different 120+ within 15 yards begging for arrows. One almost got it, but he is now off the hit list. Once i realized i was questioning i put the bow down. Great fuckin hunt.
