Out with my better half on Hippie Ridge this afternoon. Hoping for head gear, but will settle for a doe. This is our 12th season together. She took her first deer during the 2003 muzzy season to start a 9 deer in 9 seasons streak. She was "medically redshirted" in 2012 as she was too pregnant to hunt. Last season she killed her 10th deer in muzzy season, although a head up ass moment by me cost us the meat in the freezer. Hoping for deer 11 tonight and I won't fugg this recovery up!

Should be in place already. Waiting on wife to get home with boots she was exchanging for Garrett. Bought him new winter/rubber/hunting boots. They were too small. Soon as she is home we roll. I am confident in him to 100yds. Well, 75yds with fifty percent confidence at 100yds. Scratching my head. He was great at 25/50/75yds. 100yds thru him off. Weird. If we see something, he gets a green light.

All we saw was a trespasser. As we were walking out after legal shooting light we heard a shot fired in the direction the trespasser left. Very frustrating. I simply wanted to fuel the fire in his belly. He hadn't shown interest the last couple years. These incidents don't help. I tried not to let him see how irritated I was. He was already disappointed when we had to adjust our set. We sat in a different place than I had anticipated. I text the LO and set up shop awaiting their green light on how to handle. Our location wasn't the best.

Sorry to hear Phil. Heard more stories of trespassers today than deer being shot. Pretty sad state of affairs.

On a brighter note, my wife is deadly with the CVA. Ten ring nailing chica!

It's trespassing if you don't have written permission right? At least that's what I was told when I first hunted Ohio. Is it an enforcement problem?

You have to have written permission and only the landowner can press charges. Wish they had a stiffer fine system in place when it occurs during hunting. There needs to be stiffer deterants.

Congrats Jesse and Tracie.

This property is on my radar. It would truly be an "all in" deal if we bought the place. Sell our house, maybe sell another rental property or two, cash in the retirement. . . .It would be an all or nothing deal in order to make it happen. Time will tell. Then the trespassers will not be tolerated. Period.

Slept in. Caught a break in the rain to still hunt thru a small property. Now over in Amish paradise. Corn untouched. Sitting in a lean to watching it pour
