A couple guys that my buddy knew that beat us to the spot we wanted killed 6. Must of been after we left because we didn't hear them shoot. Crowded at the boat ramp and only heard a couple shots. Thanks again for checking things out Jesse. Crazy how much it changed over night.

My daughter tagged along for her first goose hunt tonight. She used her BB gun lol. We had a hot field and birds were trying to land as we pulled in. I shot my 3 birds in about 25 minutes. My daughter loved it. It was a great night.

The geese are all down here in the city limits. There's a small field that I drive by that is in an uncorporated township that had birds in it for two nights this week, but it's literally too small to get guns in. There are at least 400 geese on the lake outside my window...

They just started showing up in numbers this week in Columbus. This morning the sky was full of groups of 3-30. This went on for a solid 30 minutes. At any one time you could see 7-8 flocks at a time.

They are definitely here. Saw about 1,000 sitting on a pit pond with about 15 snows mixed in this morning on my way to school. My buddies shot their limits last night and only shot one each out of each group in. Of course, they had all kinds of ducks landing on them as well. That is when you see the shovelers and pintails, when season is out. Stupid North Zone. We are heading back to the Ohio river tomorrow. Trying out a new spot. Good luck to everyone getting out this weekend.

We went to our new spot tonight to break ice. It was 7-8" thick. We got a decent hole cut out, so fingers crosswd it doesn't ice over too bad tonight. Taking the chainsaw with us tomorrow so I can either make it bigger or cut a new hole. We had birds trying to dump in on us while we were working. I saw a good 7-8K geese today on my trip up/down the river. Saw 3 groups this size or bigger. And they're not all in this pic!

We got into some divers today on the Ohio. Mallards did not want to work and we didn't see as many greenheads as I thought we would. It was cool nevertheless. Lots of divers where we were.
