Live from the stand!

Less than an hour to go. Sitting the same stand I was in opening morning. Not much for expectations, but it's gonna be 8 months till we can do this again. Rather be here than anywhere else.
Had another close call, but I'll just be looking for sheds now.
The number two target 10 came through at 40 yards. Stayed in the thicket. Had one small opening when he stopped but a small 8 stood right in front of him blocking my shot. They then headed over the hill.
Last couple hunts were a blast though.

Well, congrats TOO all my fellow hunters on another good year! I'll be counting down the days until next season. Until then, its shed huntin, turkey huntin, and habitat improvements.

First time in 12 years I didn't fill a tag. Part of me wants to say fugg it all, the other part can't wait to get back at it.

Don't let it get you down. It is part of the sport, we all have seasons we don't score. The kill is a very small part of the total experience. Be happy you were able to experience what you did. Life is short, enjoy it to its fullest.

This was the 2nd year since my kids started hunting that I didn't fill a tag and I'm actually looking forward to a few more as they grow up! It would of took a good one for me to shoot, but I had chances at deer if I wanted. This has been a great thread and I've enjoyed following all of you! Congrats to all of TOO on your success! Looking forward to another thread in September!

Lol yeah if it was up to me I would be rocking the full beard by now.. But since I'm getting married mid Oct. I told her I would wait until after the wedding. After that I have no plans on shaving for years to come haha
