I finally got around and picked up my Ruger LC9 in 9MM with a built in green laser.
I was sorta disappointed when I got as the batteries in the laser were dead but the pistol was shipped with a extra set of batteries. Plus Ruger shipped the pistol with a SR22 manual for a 22LP pistol. I'll contact Ruger to correct these 2 flaws.
I'm really going to like this pistol for my new CCW carry pistol. I just have to find a spare mag.

Thanks Beentown for the heads up. But when I picked the pistol up I found out my FFL Dealer has been buying the same pistol from KY Guns for the same price and has the upgraded holster that turns the laser on when drawn. Plus they give free shipping. But anyway I glad I have it in hand.

A lot of me says spend $0 and use the old man's 336 in .35 or buy a scope for that gun...

I'm thinking about a Marlin in .45/70 or a a nice bolt action in 30-06...

Really just dreaming

We have a month long rifle season here in NH so Ive been around rifles most of life. The questions you need to ask is how much will you use it and are you planning any other out of state hunts in the future. If you're only going to PA this year than I'd probably just do what was cheapest. Do you think you'll ever go on a big game rifle hunt for moose, bear, elk, etc..? If so 30-06 and 308 are good calibers. If you're only hunting deer Id suggest a 270. It has close to the knock down power of a bigger caliber but its still fast & flat enough to reach out and touch one if need be. If you want a cheap rifle the Remington model 700s are OK. You can get a package deal with a scope for under $500. I don't think they are as good as they used to be but still OK. I think the quality dipped a little when they started mass producing them for box stores like Walmart. If you're willing to spend some more cash I'd look at Browning. I bought a X-bolt 270 last year and it's my favorite rifle I've owned. Adjustable trigger, smooth shooting and not much recoil. With 150 grain bullets it packs plenty of punch. Hope this helps.

I finally found a spare factory magazine for my Ruger LC9. I always carry a spare magazine for comfort level with my CCW pistol. All the Dist. have been out for 3 months and found a NIB factory at a Pawn Shop and only 3.00 more than Dealer price.

HA. If you're serious, I have a box full of stamps I'll part with. You can look them over and make me an offer. Just have to find them... LOL

Just in case you didn't know he was talking about NFA stamps. You need the, to have suppressors and short barreled rifles.
