Anyone ever get in a coyote den?

So I started a thread on another site about coyotes. (some of you may have seen it) Anyhow, I somehow got myself into a situation… I'm going to be going into an active coyote den. I don't think it'll be that bad but I talked to another guy today and he acted like it was suicide. I'll be going in head first with a couple go pro's, flashlight, earplugs, and barrel first. What are your thoughts? Is this nuts? I don't think so.

My reason isn't for a thrill. I'm curious to what is inside the den. What is the damage these coyotes actually have on the deer herd. I want to build a solid case to submit to the DOW on coyote vs deer. I don't care to dig the den up, in case the DOW wants to have some real people come out and do a proper investigation/study.

Good luck. Every coyote den I've ever seen was the size of a groundhog hole or about soccer ball sized. Would be pretty damn cool to look inside one though.

I know I'm going to have to dig a little bit to be able to get into it. This might get pushed off until the ground thaws out a little bit. Looking like next Monday will be my first attempt at it though. I haven't seen the size of the hole in this particular den yet. We do know that it is an active den and that's the type I want to go into.

I'm not sure if I want o go in during daytime and noodle fish a couple or if I'll wait until night and go into a empty den. I will have another guy with me and a rope on my leg "just in case".

My original thought was a go pro on a dog. But I don't know of any dogs that would go into an active den.

Why? Tiny hole with my fat ass stuffed into it, a dog or two with nowhere to go, and I'll be force feeding them via trigger activated lead…

I'd share some stories of stupid things I've done in my life, but they a truly not believable. I don't often share them without first hand witnesses to back the stories up. I was at my folks house last weekend and we were reminiscing some of the stories. My old man said I needed to write a book and call it "I can't make this shit up!". He has been unfortunate enough to have witnessed many of these first hand.

I have caught a few yotes and had a few that were just downright evil bastards that wanted to eat me so hope ya dont miss the first one but then again the second one will probably get ya anyway.lmao.But hell whats a few hundred stitches anyway.

A few hundred stitches and some diseases. Why not just throw an Amish bomb in it or blow it up with some tannerite?

I want to see what is in it and document it. I don't want to alter it at all if possible. I want to see what all kinds of bones are in it mostly. I know for sure already this one has had sheep taken in by pieces until nothing was left but some chunks of wool.

If I wanted to destroy it, I'd surly be able to do that with ease...
