My wife Lisa got me a nice shoulder quiver from Black Widow for fathers day.
She even got one that matched my bow case.
Will be nice to have when i am out practicing.
Lisa is definately a keeper.lol

yes, you have yourself a keeper. nice score! I have a bow sock made of the exact same material/pattern. COB-TY gave it to me about 200 years ago.

COB (is an acronym for "curmudgeonly old bastard", fyi) is my handsomer twin. I thought everyone was aware of this by now. he is the eldest twin, also. and Mom always liked him best, but I've never been able to figger out why. :p

COB gave Jamie that quiver because he didn't like the new, modern equipment... He carries his arrahs in his loincloth.

Another reason i like shooting broadheads from Magnus Broadhead is their lifetime guarantee.
Sent 4 heads back last week that were either damaged or bleeder blades broke and got 4 new ones in the mail today at no charge.

Also while cleaning out the basement when i got in my sharpening stone case forgot that i had a bunch of Snuffer broadheads.
Shot a couple deer yrs ago with them and they are a big mean broadhead.
Have been sharpening them up and they actually fly better than the Stingers out of my recurve. I am going to try them out this season and use the Stingers out of the Pearson bow.
Magnus sold the Snuffer broadheads to Thunder Valley Archery and they also have a lifetime guarantee if you buy from them. Darn good deal.

Magnus heads are bad ass. I sent in a stinger a couple years ago that got a bent ferrule... It hit a rock in the hillside after blowing through a big nanny doe. As promised, magnus sent me a new head, no questions asked. They even threw in a free hat.

Been shooting alot and pretty happy with my shooting this Summer, my 15 yd groups are real good and 20 not too bad.
Still get a dumb flier every now and again which i know is just all on me and my release.
Really liking the way the Snuffer broadheads are doing at 20 yds, just like shooting those one or two each time so i dont damage any arrows.lol

Are you getting fliers in the groups your shooting or on the first arrow? The first arrow means the most. Remember that. You could get another target and only shoot 1 arrow at each target. Sometimes your mind slips into comfort zone when group shooting. As you gain confidence in a group your mind will check out a little bit.

Yep thats it Milo just my mind slipping.
Been shooting my broadheads one arrow each time and always do well.
My first arrow is always good just seems when i shoot 6 or 8 i will mess up on one.
Thx

Like i have said before not a big fan of just shooting at targets, much prefer shooting at tennis balls or out of treestand shooting at leaves or clumps of grass.
when i shoot recurves, i prefer a completely empty target face with no bullseye. i like making my mind focus on a spot.

I got out and shot some today and took Milo's suggestion and just did one arrow at a target at a time and just picked a spot.
These pics are at 18 yds so am real happy with that and will keep doing some of this type of shooting.
Also got all of my stands hung but one and this year i lowered them quite a bit since i am using the recurve.
They are anywhere from 14 to 18 feet up, when i shot my buck last year i was around 24 feet and just did not like that height and angle shooting a recurve.
Being lower should be no problem as i tried to pick trees with good cover or multiple trunks and in the past i have shot a couple of my biggest bucks from 13 to 17 feet, plus i will be smoking up so not really worried about them smelling me.
I am starting to get excited about getting back out there and will be off work from Oct 23rd till Nov 17th so should get lots of tree time in.
Now just need to keep practicing, going to start doing lots of practicing out of a stand also.
Thx again Milo!!
