I believe I'd be speaking with the neighbor about the fact that you have reason to believe someone is bow hunting his property without permission.

Here is something to share with Garett, Phil. Notice the time, they are there every day by 730. There were 4 antlerless and this lil feller there this morning. Thought he'd like to see a pic...

I think they will, Brian. It's an awful pretty piece of country, no telling what they will run into.

Sure do appreciate it fellas! Showed Garrett the buck picture on my phone. I was driving and talking him through how to find it on my phone. He found the thread. Opened thread. I said "scroll up to the picture." I continued driving with a smile on my face as I listened to him. "Can I make the picture bigger? How many points is he? I'm thinking 7pt, no wait, maybe a 9. That is a pretty nice buck. I'd shoot that. . . ." I didn't say anything. Just let him talk with a smile on my face. Thanks Brock!

First sit of the year. Here is a video of us waiting to get a shot on the doe Garrett tagged. I know it doesn't look like much of a video. If you listen to the sound and hear Garrett's nervous breath. . . Well it just brings a smile to my face every time I watch the video.
Write up was done in the Harvest thread. Long and short of it: Brock and Mason walked us in, Garrett and I were bumbling around, we got settled, the deer read the script, and Garrett made it count. Brock said we should be in deer by 730am. Garrett shot one between 730-740am and pointed it out to Brock. I chuckled.

Saturday evening hunt. Got there? I dunno. 430-500pm? Had encounter with 6-7pt buck. Tried to reposition Garrett as deer walked from in front of us, along the side of us, and exited behind us. We simply couldn't get Garrett turned well enough to take a shot. Ended up raining and we slid out around 730. Saw 3 more does in between buck encounter and our exit.

Sunday morning:
We were beat after Saturday. I overslept. Didn't hear Brock text, bang on camper door, or anything. Then he called and I woke up. We got in there a bit late Sunday morning. Settled in, saw 4 does total, but no bucks. Had a small doe (yearling but no spots) stand at the apple pile for 20-30min. Garrett asked several times "Can I shoot her?" NO. "But I really want to shoot her." I know. But we are not going to shoot every single deer in our shooting lane Garrett. She isn't much bigger than our dog. You can't shoot her. "I know. .. . . I just want to shoot a buck. . . Or a BIG doe. . . Can I shoot that squirrel over there?" Oh boy. Poor kid is ate up with it now.
