Man, it's sad.... I mean really sad.....

I'm so out of touch with the latest country music songs. I just checked the top songs on Itunes and had "maybe" heard of two or three.

I sure miss "real" American radio. We get American Forces Network radio broadcasting, but in addition to country and rock it's a mix of rap and other crap that I don't like.

I'll probably be home in July, for a week or two, so that'll give me a chance to get caught up, but we can't wait until 2012 when we finally come home to the mother land for good.

Agreed. Is it even fair to call it country anymore ? With all these " Country Singers " having a single song put into about 4-5 different genres of music now is stupid.

Its a bit of a joke when kids "discover" someone we/I listened to or went to their concerts years ago.

Years ago Gary Trudeau did a Doonesbury cartoon about that. IIRC he used Steppenwolf's "Born to be Wild" as either elevator music or it was on the easy listening station.
