I had a phenomenal hunt and didn't even take a shot. I was in my ASAT suit I bought off Milo standing in a fence row over wheat and had deer all over me. Had a fight, lots of chasing and I was able to experiment with calls. Could not get the big 10 to come in. I did get him to go low to the ground and posture twice. Fun, fun evening.

Awesome night for you.... Congrats Mike....

Sounded like a great hunt Mike!!!

I hunted all day from dark till dark in a ground blind at the head of a side hollar to a huge hollar. Saw my first deer at 5 o'clock this evening. There were 3 does just chasing after each other.

Back at it again tomorrow morning!

Went back out this afternoon. I had pie on my mind all morning, so I went & bought a pecan pie, among other things. Went back out at 330 & saw nothing. Well, other than the neighbors dumb fuck ex who was in his climber ... right across from my ground blind. Cocksucker.

Tell us how you really feel!

Great hunt mike!

Hunted dark to dark. 1 spike 1 bb 3 doe In 12 hrs. This is bullshit!

You are dedicated too!

Screw all day sits! :)
I have done just a few. I decided to do one in 2004, after having seen only one deer by 11 am. I had been covered up in deer previous days, so I figured I'd just stay in my tiny little hang on until something came by. Nothing to drink or snack on... I wound up shooting a good one at 340 pm. Watched him run toward my truck and tip over. You could call it perfect. However, my legs and back hurt so freaking bad I had a heck of a time climbing down out of the stand. Once on the ground, field dressing and loading him into my truck was miserable. I think I felt about as bad as the dead buck! I respect you guys for sitting all day... I ain't gonna do it.

Great sit Mike. Those are the hunts that help us forget the previous ones where we saw very little action or no action.

Good luck guys! On the sidelines anxiously waiting and rooting for you all. Garrett is off school Friday so we will probably head out at some point.

Hebbardsville..
Just woke up and looked at the weather. Looks like rain is going to end right around daylight, then it looks like a few calm hours before all hell breaks loose with the wind.

Looks to me as if the deer here, bedded most of the night. They are filtering out into the fields to feed, from there daytime beds here. Not there norm for the morning hunts here. 5 doe and 3 fawns so far. Let's hope the bucks are gonna follow suit.
Gonna hang tough, until the storm rolls in.

The deer where I am were clearly abducted by aliens, eaten by chupacabra or Bigfoot. Skunked last night and so far this morning.

Based on what I have been seeing and what others are reporting it seems that largely they are locked down. Hopefully after this weather rolls through they will be on the move. Good luck to those out. I won't be back at it until Saturday morning. I did find the biggest, fresh rub about 75 yards from my stand though.
