Live from the stand!

Today's cam check showed big does showing back up with fawns and lots of single bucks .

Ron and I hunted till 10 and had to get down cuz it was just too dangerous and counter productive. Saw them on the move before light but they were a couple miles from where we were hunting.

There were 3 deer in field between our parking spot and stands that appeared to be does but they took off for place across road.

Good luck to those who are still hunting but BE CAREFUL!!!! It's not worth your life!!!

We're heading back out this afternoon after wind settles back down!

I did have some good hunts and saw a little bit of chasing right around halloween. Since then its been slow. Warm weather didnt help. Just havent put myself in the right place at the right time. Havent had that signature rut hunt yet. It'll happen. Im looking forward to getting back in the saddle at the property that has a couple nice ones confirmed. Cant stay dead forever

I don't think it's supposed to settle down.
 
Wife's fall decorations are all over the porch. Still blowing like mad in NW Ohio. Going to swap some cards and make game plan for Garrett for the weekend. He has no school tomorrow for parent teacher conferences or something. Stalking with an 11yr old and 40yr old? Sounds like a desperate/long shot attempt. More than likely we will wait out the winds and hit it when they settle.
 
Moved two stands today, buddy gave me a hand (big thanks too Shaun) wasn't going too hunt tonight with wind and rain moving in from the looks of it but he talked me into heading down too his in laws property too hunt the evening off the ground....

Couldn't pass up a hunt with him as he's helped me out a lot this year and I know if I didn't go he'd not of went either.....
 
I've decided to opt out for tonight. Going back to work the second half of my shift tonight. I'll get back after it tomorrow.
