Hebbardsville..
Bad to worse boys. The boy and his dad that came in behind me sat in a stand about 150 yds away. Long story short, after only being on stand for 45 min he shot a big buck. It ran towards me and I watched it bed down 80 yds away. From the highest high to lowest low. I've put in time, and done things right, only to have them shit on me on my best sit I've ever had.

This was the week at the farm. Just checked cams. 5 different shooters on their feet in daylight this week. 3 were shooters all year, 2 are new to the list in-light of recent events. All are 3 or older.

We have been settled back in for an hour and a half or so. Got a few deer up and moving. After the swing and a miss or 3 this morning. Levi has changed his standards, a fawn was about to be in trouble, but it was gonna be a hard shot. I called him off of it.

Both of the boys I took hunting killed by 9 am. Mason and I are going tomorrow. My nephew killed a whopper, his first deer. I taped it at 159! Both were killed at the "gar hole" farm. My nephew shot his from the same stand Garrett killed his doe from. Fun morning! Mason missed a coyote too, it was running at 80 yards or so.

Kids left me to go back up to the house...the rain smacking the tarp bugs my one boy. (He's deaf in one ear and some noises just freak him out.) then it was a chain reaction through the kids. I'm sticking it out though, traded the ML for the crossbow. I'm gonna be pissing on myself if they shoot one in the front yard while I'm back here. Lol
