Two things...
1) I friggin LOVE that's it's on a Monday and Tuesday, and
2) Hell yea I'll be out there both days.

I will be out Monday after therapy and all day Tuesday. As of right now I only have one deer on cam I will shoot.

I was planning on hunting all along , but the place i'm hunting took an unexpected change a few days ago. Going back to an out haunt...should be a great time.
I don't understand why its a Monday-Tuesday hunt versus a weekend hunt....it limits the number of people that will be able to participate that's for sure.
Does anyone have any reasons why it's not held on a weekend as all the previous years?

People complained that they were gonna be busy with family stuff being holiday weekends, and I think their goal is to limit participation.

They are definitely gonna limit participation. I guess for the guys that's already tagged out this is a good thing.
Taking my oldest son for all day hunts both days. Got the younger 2 boys each a deer this year hoping to make it 3 for 3. Oh and dad needs to get one too!!!
I don't care what the days are. I would think many guys on TOO would be thankful the bonus days are not on a weekend. There "should" be less participation because of it.

Wanted to come down for the weekend and those two days but work is nuts right now. Sucks fo sho.
Why? Gotta give us old timers something too do.... lol
Plus gives the yougins that are able too get out some more woods time....

I took those 2 days off on vacation so I should be hunting somewhere. If the weather looks good I'll drag Mini Me with me.
If i remember correctly lots of guys were bitching on TOO back when they said they were bringing the 2 day gun season back in that they didn't want it.
Said the herd was so low and since that early muzzy season didn't pan out and give the ODNR the kill numbers they wanted they decided on the 2 day gun cause the ODNR knew from past records they could get the kill numbers back up.
I'll have the boys out. We have some nice bucks visiting regularly. Just need them to keep doing what they're doing and one of the boys to find their mark. Solid bucks for a couple young teenagers.
If it's a season they HAVE to have, then I'm glad it's Monday and Tuesday. Whatever limits participation is good by me. Besides, I'm off... :smiley_blackeye:

I never said we should not have them was just saying how i remember the uproar when the new regs were being decided and the ODNR mentioning it.
