Yep – that fuel pump driver module will leave you stranded…seen it happen. I forget the exact date range but if anybody has got an F150 in the 2002-2010 date range I would highly recommend replacing that part cause its not a matter of if its going bad, its when.
Its located right above the rear axle. What happens is the box housing the electronics is in contact with the axle and it basically just oxidizes into dust. Next thing you know you hit some water and there you sit. The replacement part has some type of spacer that gets it out of aluminum to steel contact and the part costs roughly $75-$100 and only about 15 min to change once you drop the spare tire.
