Lets make up the location and tell everyone and see how far we can get the rumor to travel. I bet hunters are already trying to lease patches of weeds on 77 based on my prior hall of fame rumor.

People want to hunt its off spring.

People are morons. In 1995 and 1996, the two largest bucks known to be killed in all of north America were killed within 10 miles of my house. Both were killed on public land. There has not been anything close to them killed in the last 20 years around here. I would imagine a lot of their offspring were killed as 1 1/2 year olds.

I can't find a pic of the other one. It was killed in 1996 by a guy named Larry Butcher. They called the buck "Buford".

Yes he did Ric. My fil video taped him in his front yard. It was shot just over the hill from his house. Stevens buck came from there too, so I guess there has been one other in the last twenty years.

What difference would it make where it was killed? It's already dead...

My original question was just out of general interest as I shoot little buck at the closest location I can from my home so means no difference to me. My general interest was just that the same as anyone who came to view the thread obviously the fact that it was shot in Ohio and/or Stark County lured some interest. I could post a buck shot in North Dakota and the level of interest would probably be a lot less because people relate to the proximity. My apologies for being somewhat interested in the story as I sent my brother a photo and he asked how close that was from my house and since I was unable to provide an answer I figured I would ask if anyone knew. Didn't realize that would turn people to thinking I wanted to hunt over the same corn pile it was shot off of.
