Looks nice . I've never had a turkey mounted . Always figured I'd get around to it sometime . Just st keep putting it off I guess . I dunno the exact area ya hunt but some neat info , the first yr they opened up stark to turkey hunting 20-25 yrs ago my dad got permission to hunt a farm over in that Brewster area . He'd been seeing a flock of longbeards on one property .Back then , he worked for a gas and oil production company called Belden and Blake ...And it was perfectly acceptable to carry a gun in your vehicle . So after checking on a pipeline crew one spring day he slipped in to turkey hunt . Well , all them gobblers showed up in one big ball standing around the decoy and once they separated a bit he just picked out the tallest one and shot it . Here it had 3 beards , a 12" , a 9.5" , and a 8" beard . It also weighed 25# and had big old hooked spurs around 1.5 . He'd killed a lot of longbeards but never a triple bearded one . He put it in the freezer with hopes of scraping together the money to mount it but raising a family kinda puts a strain on taxidermy funds . I wish he'd of mounted that bird.

I have no desire to ever have a turkey mounted. I guess they don't look real good to me because I am not a big turkey hunter. That looks great! I've only seen a handful I really liked. Those were all TOO members. Yours is one of them. Congrats Chad!
Thanks Phil, this will probably be the last turkey I get mounted. I'll do a couple tail fans and hang beards and spurs from them.
I live only about 8 minutes from Brewster. That's a once in a lifetime turkey that your dad killed! Sucks he couldn't get it mounted but family comes first! I know I just said that this bird is probably my last turkey mount but if I ever killed one like that I'd have to put it on the wall!

Lee Keller, Keller's Taxidermy in Navarre. I paid right around $600 for the mount including the fake limb from McKenzie. He's the best around with turkeys and waterfowl IMO.
