Should be on a job site already. Nope. Battery on one mower was dead. Not a surprise. Jump start it. Move it. Load up other mower and leaf vac. Back dump truck (2wd) and trailer into grass (higher ground) to turn around. Stuck as can be. So we drive our other dump truck back to pull it out. No dice. Now back at the shop to load a skid loader and another trailer. We will get it out but what a wasted morning. Pain in the butt. Oh well. Such is life in the lawn business in the spring. Sometimes a Monday is a Monday. Life isn't really all that bad if this is my biggest complaint.

Had too take Candy (my beagle) too the vet this afternoon as she came down with an ear infection, she had one about a year and a half ago and antibiotics took care of it after about a week....

Basically the same thing this time but had a little blood in the ear that they attributed too her scratching at it.... They had a antibiotic/anti inflammatory sav that they pack in the ear and it will stay in there for a week or so and will ooze out little by little.... Gave her something for the pain and back in two weeks...
Was bad too see her in pain especially when they swabbed it too inspect what type of infection it was....

She was much better just an hour afterwards.... Hopefully the pain meds will keep her comfortable during the process.....

Ear infections suck. Try some Trizultra after she heals up. My vet had me use it with the meds, but it is the BEST cleanse I have ever used. I keep it on hand now and use it periodically as a preventative.

Where do you get yours Diane? We've used one in the past but I'd be open too try something else as we flush her ears about once a month.... The last infection was sept of 2014....

Bummer J, good luck Candy!

I'm a little bummed that I wrecked my truck tonight. I couldn't avoid the guy that pulled out... Truck isn't bad, but I'm still pretty bummed. No one got hurt either...but I know it's going to turn into a battle. Guy was drunk and didn't have a license. Owner of the car didn't have it insured... Fuggen people!

I'd post pics but the stupid app wants me to upgrade to do so...not in the mood.

Never mind, now I'm pissed...went to sign in the app and didn't remember my password. Did the email me thing and it looks like I've been hacked and locked out of my own email! On top of that my daughter is up crying with mom because Nana and Papa went back to Alaska this evening. Today can be over now, and a new day could start....

Damn Dave, sorry too hear that... Sucks that people are so fugging stupid as too drive around like that....

I posted in my 2016 bass thread on the Lake Erie forum about our weekend adventure of a buddy who had his boat t-boned and knocked it off the trailer and totaled it.... 89 year old guy that hit him, blew a stop sign, lives on the road and never knew there was a stop sign there.... Broken sternum, punctured lung, off too the ER, passed on Sunday.... PT Cruiser he was driving the air bags never went off.....
Sucks that he died, sucks that he totaled my buddies boat who'll have too fight too get what's owed him all for just wanting too go fish a Lake Erie tournament....

J, look into "purple stuff" for the ears. Not a cure for ear infections but an amazing preventative. 16 oz witch hazel, 16 drops of gentian violet, and like a teaspoon of boric acid powder. It's incredibly effective.

I bought the ingredients for this, but was afraid to try it without knowing anyone who has actually used it. Have you/do you use it ?

Yep, been using it for over 2 years. Betty was prone to ear infections for her first year and we battled it constantly... But once I started using the purple stuff, she hasn't had any ear problems since. I'm telling you it's amazing. Just dump a bunch in there and then sloshing around squeezing the ear canal with your hand and then let them shake out. It's good to do it about once a week or so, but really anymore I only do it after she goes swimming or something. It's used widely in the retrieving world since those dogs are always in the water... So there's a lot of people out there that are using it. Just make sure you do it outside and try not to get it on yourself as it will stain clothing.
