Just a reminder for those who forget from last year, or for the new faces coming this year, your best bet is to use the address below for Smith Oil. It's the last stop for beer, gas, etc... Before the campsite.
1424 Cadiz Rd., Wintersville
From there you can use the coordinates on the very first post of the thread.
I copied and pasted this from last years thread - Mike's loopdeeloop directions actually got me there just fine
Let me know if this works for you guys...
Here are directions from the Columbus

For those of you coming from the west side, you'll more than likely be coming in on US22 from Cambridge (off of I-70 and I-77). US 22 actually runs you right to the exit for my house. It's almost exactly one hour from Cambridge to my house. The reason I bring this up is it may be easier to travel past my house to get the spot. Less turns and it takes you past a last stop gas station for fueling up and maybe grabbing some last minute supplies (Smith Oil on Cadiz Rd and County Rd 26 - Bantam Ridge Rd).
Anyway, after about an hour of travel from Cambridge, take the Reeds Mill/Wintersville Exit on the right. Take a left off the exit and head up Reeds Mill hill. At the top of the hill you'll see Smith Oil on the right. Turn right there onto County Road 26 (Bantam Ridge). You'll follow 26 for about 4 miles. It'll take you, eventually, down a steep hill. At the bottom of the hill you'll see a set of railroad tracks on the right and a track crossing with signs for Fernwood State Forest. Take a right there and cross the tracks and head up the hill toward Fernwood. From the tracks you will travel past the Ranger station and go about 2 miles. Past the Ranger station you will take the first left you see. I'll have a TOO sign posted at that turn. The campsite is located right there. Once you make that turn you can't miss it.
J and Ryan, if you guys remember how to get to my house and to where we rabbit hunted, you'll be fine. Anyone else that may be coming down RT11 and Rt7, just let me know and I'll post up directions to get you past my house as well.
If you're coming from the south, you will come up 77 and connect onto US22 at Cambridge and just follow what I posted above.
Those of you who will come down US 250 past Tappan Lake (Mike and Nickle), you will connect on US 22 in Cadiz. From there it is about 20 minutes to the Wintersville/Reeds Mill exit.
The directions supplied by the links I posted earlier will work just fine. They take you on some local dirt township roads, but they getcha there as well. Whichever you guys prefer.
