I have a Browning golf deer hunter. My mom bought me this gun after a rough patch I had when I was a teenager. It is absolutely the best grouping gun I have ever shot. I can shoot 2inch groups at 150 yards all day and I am not a good shot.

Yep my thoughts also, not bashing gun hunting, the wife and i love the crossbow,
we are hoping this gun season will stir the deer up, as we saw the biggest 6pt across the road in a corn field less than 6 hundred yds from her food plot, 40 yds from the rd,
Never got this buck on camera,
His antlers are about 20'' tall and at least 18/20" wide with the bases being almost as big as a coke can.
Still can;t get him out of my head(unreal to be a six pt) we have more pt bucks but this one really sticks to you when you see one like that.
Hoping the guys will stir them up a little.

Taking a friend out that's 40 years old and has never been deer hunting but always wanted to. I'm loaning him my 50 caliber muzzleloader with scope and I'm taking a Rossi 45 colt in case a big buck comes by. Hoping we can get him one opening morning but if not we'll be hunting a corn pile that evening. Haven't been into gun hunting the last couple years but I'm excited to take him out on his first deer hunt.

I started at 48 during gun season, got hooked. Then got a crossbow. Then a compound. Then a longbow.
I love bowhunting, but look forward to this one week of the year when I can play with my toys.
My son in law is going to use his Excalibur crossbow during gun season, it's just what he prefers.
Long as we're all hunting and happy, life is good.

I haven't carried a gun in the woods (for deer) in quite a few years. I didn't plan to this year either, but, my time has been way more limited than I thought it would be. I ate tag soup last year and I have two tags in my wallet now and probably only 3 or 4 more hunts to fill them. So I'm thinking about running out tonight and grabbing a slug gun of some sort, or maybe a slug barrel for my 500 if I can find one, and joining the orange army this year.
