Little central Ohio update. The deer rut is over and the squirrel rut is in full swing.

Ha. Nice!

Damn tree rats.

I had a free hour and went on a still hunt on my back 8.

Right off the bat, had a doe walk by with her tail cocked. She was within 15 yards. Was hopeing something was going to be behind her but never saw him.

Saw two other does bouncing in and out of a thicket about 50 yards away. Eventually one of them came my way, but again nothing in tow.

Big boy was back there somewhere.

Fun little impromptu stroll. Never got busted either.

That's it for my hunting until Sunday afternoon at the earliest.

I went to check the stand I will be putting my nephew in tomorrow. Saw 12-15 turkeys under it when I arrived. On the way out I drove up on a spike buck that was tracking something and he didn't even look at my truck, completely oblivious.

So far I've just seen a spike walking though below me in the creek bottom at about 70 yards at 8:50. The temperature is warming up fast and the wind is getting stronger.

Had 3 does bust around the ridge to me and stop directly under me. Shooter 8 waltzed in to 25 yards. Stands for a minute and turns and walks over the saddle to keep cruising. Typical shit. After that had a lone doe Go by and a spike. Gona wait till 10:30 and slip out. It's getting hot.

Didn't go out, the temps said get stuff done and be ready Monday... C/W..... Shot the deer guns, got some stuff done around the house although I refuse to put up xmas lights before thanksgiving lol

I was going to go out, but I'd rather do other stuff. Front hitting in the AM won't be enough to get them up tonight IMO. I've all but conceded by tag at this point anyways. Time to sight in the guns and start filling the freezer.

Had 5 doe at the edge of my yard. My dog went out to the edge of his collar range and just watched them walk by at about 20 yards from him. No bucks in tow.

Just got home. There seemed to be deer before every turn on the way home. Most I have seen in a trip from Columbus.

Saw the aftermath of a car hitting 2 deer... Couldn't tell what they were but blood, guts and pieces everywhere.... Two carcasses left in the middle of Rte 11 north bound.... No cops yet and radiator spewing steam.... It looked totaled but not as bad as them deer though lol
