Single Shot .22

The old coon hunter i hunted with last night was saying he needs to get him another .22 before season comes in. He has a single shot bolt now that mis-feeds a bunch.. One of those where you lay the round in the opening and close the bolt.. But after 40 years of coon hunting with that gun the old .22 is feeding them into the hole for the extractor beside the feed ramp.. It's slap worn out.Anyways. Considering how nice he's been I'm looking for a .22 for him.. Preferably a single shot as .22 shorts are the go to round. Plus no worry about remembering to unload the gun before putting it back in the box to change spots. And when getting to a treed dog through brush it's just safer..

Anyway, wondering if anyone had an old one but a goodie hanging around in the safe they're looking to make a deal on.. :)

Thanks.

Thought about that. To be honest though from what I have seen for prices on just about every gun i have ever looked at on there; by the time you pay what they want, the FFL fee, and shipping you could dang near buy a new one.

That's why I started that FFL thread, it'd be sweet if someone on here had one and could do some buying for us (even thought that fee would still be there, I'm assuming there is some markup on there as well). I thought Hicks was thinking about getting his, or maybe he's got one? Could be wrong.

I picked one up last year for $75 at Max's Flea Market and Water Dog Races. My kids just aren't ready yet, but I am saving it for when they are ready. I am guessing this is along the lines of what you want? I will keep my eyes open.
