Funny story for you Mike. I had a dream last night and towards the tail end, I hear this phrase: "You're listening to WTOO radio and up next is Mikey C on TOO Extra Innings." :smiley_clap: I had read that comment right before I went to bed and it lead to me thinking about doing a TOO podcast, and then you have Mikey C on TOO Extra Innings!!! lmao

That's some funny shit dude... what'd you smoke before you went to bed last night? lol

So the Reds are back with the D-backs for a 3 game home stretch. We lost 2 out of 3 to them at Arizona, we really need a good series at home before heading into the 6 game road trip (3 at St. Louis and 3 at Milwaukee). We need to get some momentum back up and get at least 2 out of 3 before facing the Cardinals.

Best case scenario... we get momentum up and get a charge going, right at the same time we get Cueto and Homer Bailey back in the rotation... I can see good things happening!

Wasted season for those guys... bad decisions!! I couldn't imagine giving up a season of high school baseball... I mean damn you only get 4 of them!

I mean a lot of HS school guys, especially upper class men will have some beer at parties, I know I did, but we had one rule "not while in season" and "no one was driving". We kept to ourselves and didn't get in any trouble.

I just wonder if everyone on the team at least knew about it our if the suspension was just across the board. If I was the guy that had no idea about it and got suspended, I would have been ticked. But that is probably pretty unlikely on a baseball team there was someone who did not at least know about it.

Kinda along the same lines as our coach getting fired our junior year for sexually harassing softball girls on the bus trips. That guy fucked us in the long run. We had state championship talent, but once he was fired, it sent us into a fugged up scenario we never recovered from. Still haunts me...

Another cancellation today. This is just unbelievable. We have one of the nicest fields around and it drains great, but we had no shot at getting it ready today.
With no school tomorrow we are hosting a three way at our field to try to knock out some makeup games. The first game is us vs. Edison Local. Game 2 is Edison vs. Union Local. Then in game 3 it's us vs. Union Local.
Nothing going on for Good Friday, but then Saturday we play in the OVAC AAAA Semi-Finals in Moundsville, WVa against either #1 seed Steubenville or #2 seed Cambridge. The reason it depends is because Parkersburg South is playing at Morgantown today. If they win they bump us to the 4 seed. If they lose they are out of the playoffs and John marshall, WVa gets the 4 spot and we stay at 3. You get all that? Lol

We traveled to Cambridge on Monday. We played the top of the first and the skies opened.
On Tuesday we take the hour drive back to finish. That sucks on a bus by the way.
We wait until 6:00 to take the tarp off after the the rain finally stops and get going. They posted 3 in the bottom of the first.
We chipped away and going into the bottom of the sixth it's 3-3.
Their 4 man leads off with a single in the 6th.
They try to bunt him to second, but we have their signs and our thirdbaseman is all over it. Pop up to him and 1 out.
Our pitcher, for some reason decides to throw to first before he throws a pitch to the next batter. We know the dude ain't going anywhere. The ball sails over the firstbaseman's head and the runner goes to 2nd.
Next pitch is grounded to third for a would've been DP ball. Instead it's an out at first and the runner moved to third on the throw.
With 2 outs and 2 strikes the next batter bloops one behind the second base bag for the go ahead run.
They add an insurance run after a gap double.
We do nothing in the top of the 7th and lose the OVAC 4A semi 5-3.

It was a tough one to take because one play beat us. Defensively we were perfect the whole game. One bad decision and throw conceivably cost us the game.
We left alot of runners on, but that one play really sticks out.

The good news is the sectionals are still to play in a couple weeks.
