No dice.

Had one sneak by me through the thick stuff but never got a good look from stand. Could only see brush moving. Saw three does on the way out in the neighbors field. They've been holding tight there all season.

Felt good. Going to crank it up at my favorite property these next couple days. Hope it's cooling down again like they said

Bastards are quite abundant in my area.

Both spots we dropped at have a shit ton of them during fall and I'm on stand.... They were scarce today for some reason.... Didn't see a gray one either....

Rooster, what are you planning on doing with them? Mount?

In the early 2000's I only seen them on the Kent State Campus(they were brought in too the campus at some point) and I was hunting like 2 or 3 different counties, by 2005 I was seeing them all the way down in Holmes. I believe the abundance you are seeing in Stark originate from Kent, but Holmes and Tusc. County? Are they a hybrid of a Red and a Gray?

They're a gray squirrel with a different gene that defines the color black.... The squirrels on Kent were brought down from Canada I believe is what was told to me....

Yeah I'd like to have them taxied. I think they look awesome, especially when they have red mixed in. I have some exposed beams in my great room where they would go.

I remember seeing black squirrels way back in the day before I ever moved to Athens in the chagrin falls and Kent state areas. I don't think I've seen one black squirrel since living down here

I'm all settled into my blind. 20170126_150600.jpg

New cap finally showed up. Hey Tall Chad, tell the wife I said I'm sorry she has to do your laundry but thanks for the cap. Nice and warm. Just like I asked for
