Great hunt. Lost count after 10. At least 5 different bucks still carrying. 2 shooters. I'm pretty damn sure the one was the same one I missed last Thursday. By the time I could pull up my binocs without getting busted by others it was too dark to confirm. The other looked to be a solid 8 point. I thought I was going to get a crack at him but he didn't walk the walk. Fun hunt on a beautiful night. Shed season is looking promising at this spot. Hopeing to hunt at least two more times. Still could catch a break!

Oh man, didn't think I was going to be able to hunt tonight due to double date night. Other party just cancelled...... it's on. Bam!

I don't care what anyone thinks about this, I know what I've seen this last week. My favorite rut of all is here. It's that last push when all these fawns have gone into cycle. The deer aren't pressured like "the rut" and are hungry, this is a great time to be in the woods. No excuses, only 3 evenings left.
Well hell! I ran out to check my cams earlier today to decide which stand to hunt and drove up on this in the field.
Guess what? It's off the big 8.lol
Oh well he won the game this yr.
I have his sheds from 2014 and actually found one in the same field about 100 yds from this one today.
The 2014 sheds he would have been a 130 inch buck.
The shed today was 68 inches so he woulda been around 154ish.
Not a bad 8.
Guess we will play the game next season.
