I was on private late that's across the road from where I hunt..the deer flock there late season bc nobody can hunt it! It was a pain in the ass to get permission but somehow I convinced them to let me shed hunt it and I found them all out in the fields and along the creek! The wife didn't want me in the woods bc she didn't want me scaring the deer off the property! I soooo badly wanted to check the woods for the other sides but I didn't want to mess a good thing up, well it still didn't help me get permission for the following year..
Wow, sounds like a sanctuary they have there! The crazy thing is one late walk through the woods wouldn't have hurt a thing! Typical request from an anti hunter but it was still very nice of them to give you permission to walk their fields.

Killbucks as Ric said you have a good thing going there having a chunk of land no one can hunt next to your hunting spot... Let's some of your deer get some age and also helps to prevent an overharvest in your area....Nota bad thing...
Yeah its kinda good to have but depressing when you sit in your tree stand and watch 30 deer a night in another spot but it's better than listening to the woman yelling at me!
) hopefully the farmers wife is taking her meds this year so I can secure permission again! I'd love to hunt it but I'll gladly just shed hunt it! I've offered to help around the farm if they ever needed help and never got a phone call...I thought that might help

Well... Sounds like you might have your big toe in the door... I'd pick them up something (nice spiral cut ham or something along those lines) take it with you next time you ask to shed hunt and say here just a little thank you for letting me shed hunt last year... little things like that go a long way...
Very true! I'd think them farmers would want the sheds picked up in fear on tires and machinery! I think trespassers and poachers have left a sour taste in their mouth and it hurts guys like us that are respectful and do the honest things
