Kaydence is already asking when we can hunt turkeys cause we've been seeing them a lot here at the house. With my wife home with a new baby, I should be able to hunt a good bit this year and will take K with me for most of my hunts at the farm.

I ain't big on turkey hunting, maybe it's because I've never really done it. Anyways…I was just out walking around the woods here at my place and hens were sounding like spring!

Yep you will like it Jon,it is one of those hunts where it is alot more fun if a buddy is along for the hunt.

I've done it in the past with couple long beard Toms and even a nice long bearded hen.
I've got so many turkeys here on the farm it's tough to get a interest up in hunting them. When I see 40-100 plus in a flock it's tough to pull a Tom to decoys. IMHO the Toms roost with the hens, fly down with the hens and no reason to leave them looking for other hens.

Sorry. I've bought the farm in 1991 for family only. Son and daughter live next door and my 2 grandsons hunt when they have time with full time college and full time work. The 4 granddaughters never have shown a interest. My son hunts and my nephew who helps me when I need help has full hunting rights but almost never hunts.
I did have my niece down to hunt deer in 2015 but was too busy in 2016. But her and her husband help us unload and load our truck for the Lima gunshow.

Been watching a group of 30+ beards here at the house. With this warmer weather, they are starting to test friendships. The flock is growing smaller...

I also have pics of 4 long beards together multiple days at the farm. 3 of the 4 are studs, but history tells me only one or two will be around come July or whenever it is our stupid season comes in...

I'll be in Tennessee April 1st for a few days we usually kill a few then drink the rest of the time. it's been a couple seasons since I've killed one here usually only get to hunt Sundays here with my work picking up in the spring.
