Give it a shot, Jon!Never done it. Every year I say this is the year I give it a shot. So I will say it again. I am going to try it out this year. Now all I have to do is to learn how. Lol
I've done it in the past with couple long beard Toms and even a nice long bearded hen.
I've got so many turkeys here on the farm it's tough to get a interest up in hunting them. When I see 40-100 plus in a flock it's tough to pull a Tom to decoys. IMHO the Toms roost with the hens, fly down with the hens and no reason to leave them looking for other hens.
Can I come try???? :smiley_bril:
Sorry. I've bought the farm in 1991 for family only. Son and daughter live next door and my 2 grandsons hunt when they have time with full time college and full time work. The 4 granddaughters never have shown a interest. My son hunts and my nephew who helps me when I need help has full hunting rights but almost never hunts.
I did have my niece down to hunt deer in 2015 but was too busy in 2016. But her and her husband help us unload and load our truck for the Lima gunshow.
