Looking through some pics I came across these pics of an Illinois shed from a few years ago... He was an 8 point and was a very impressive deer. Other side never found...

What's it tape?

Someone said he was a 160 class 8 point... His other side was pretty much identical.. That shed is out in Illinois at my friends house. I'm going out this coming weekend with my hunting buddy to look for sheds. He's pretty good at measuring antlers so I'll tell him to bring his tape... I'll let you know when I get back. Pics don't do it justice as its pretty big... You and Ric are the shed gurus so whats your guess by looking at the pic... I said more around 150 as it takes a hellava eight to push 160....

I don't know about us being guru's, ate up with em maybe.....rotflmao

I measured that dandy nice 4 point that Giles found from that slammer of an 8 down his way last night and it had everything an 8 needs and it taped a tad over 66" I believe. This shed looks like it has a little more length. I'll guess 68-69".

Took my first walk today. No sheds. Pulled a couple camera cards. Still holding. As were 5 of the 10 deer I kicked up. Both sides.

More frustrating was my camera card check. I was calling coyotes last night. My camera revealed a coyote at 1850 last night about 100yds away from the field I was calling in. Don't know if it came into my calls or not, but I'd have to believe it was responding. Just never showed itself. Double kick in the balls? There was another coyote in there 1hr before I went shed hunting. 2pm today.

Try calling first thing in the morning, Phil.
