I figured that's what you were hinting towards, lol. I only get to see my kids on the weekends, so I try and get them involved in the outdoors. They play on tablets enough...

Well it looks like I found my second shed😂. It must of been buried in the snow and I didn't see it, wasn't looking too hard either. Those two spared for a second and it popped off.

Saw a pretty decent one on another property within the last two days still holding. When you see the antlers from several hundred yards away. . . It is a pretty solid buck in my eyes.

I drove around the neighborhood yesterday evening looking for deer and spotted what appeared to be two bucks that had both shed. One of them looked like a real bruiser. So tonight I rounded up a couple buddies and we did some walking. Mainly it was an excuse to get the dogs out running around. My Lab, Betty, has found a couple over the years.

So after about 30-40 minutes of walking, we start working through a spot that looks promising. I step over a log and as I do I spot an antler about 5 yards away...A pretty nice one. I yell over to my buddy and he brings his dog over. She's just a pup and he's trying to introduce her to sheds, so we figure what the hell...Let's see if she'll key in on it. Well she didn't, so I call Betty over, thinking she'll spot it and pick it up. Dang dog stepped right over it as she ran by and never blinked. So I told him, "she ain't looking for antlers" since it's been so long since we've done it. She's still in bird hunting mode. She runs off and then we keep trying to encourage his pup to check it out. After a minute, I see Betty come running back to us, carrying a damn antler in her mouth!!!! She found the fuggin match!!!

We never found any others but it's totally fine. Betty made my night. It's a really heavy-beamed 8 point with a small sticker off the one G2. They're chewed up a bit so they must've been on the ground for a little while.
