Question, why couldn't you do two piece and then you have the availability too use different wood for different pitch?

It's been my assumption that all two piece strikers have the shaft glued into the handle. I've never really researched two piece strikers because I think one piece strikers are nicer and they are harder to make. Doesn't take much to run a blank through a dowel maker and stick it in a handle.
Testing out the Tru oil to see what kind of finish I can get.

Levi was looking over my shoulder and seen the pic "what is that?" "Turkey striker" with that crumpled up face he says "so you hit turkeys with it?" Lmfao!!! That's my boy. I didn't even tell him it was for calling, gonna let that one ride for a while.
I'm definitely getting faster. I'm also learning how to sharpen my tools better so that cuts down on time also.
I made 3 today, all walnut. Most of the time I don't really have a design planned out, just kinda roll with it. Preciate it, Holdren[emoji41]
I'll have a table saw within the next month, that means I can start gluing different species of wood together.
