Life's been TOO good for me lately. Just got back from Las Vegas on Saturday. Finished about $400 ahead at the poker tables for the week despite losing $570 on my final hand of the trip (Stupid trip 10 on river). Been playing around with my newborn son. He's only 7 weeks old but a blast to play with. I even took him, my wife, my recently divorced sister in law and her 2 kids, and my Mother in law on a Mushroom hunting trip for Mothers day. We only found 3 but just explaing nature to my 4 year old nephew and seeing the excitement on his face when we had a doe watching us in the woods was absolutely priceless. I even had him identifying Elm trees to the women and had him running to them looking for shrooms. Just a great time

Deer steaks for lunch. Invited a buddy over I hunt with since my wife didn't want any. They were already thawed out and I sure didn't want to eat half and throw away half. My wife even sauteed some onions/mushrooms for us. Fixed up some mac n cheese and ate like king's for lunch. Darn good meal. Then my wife thought she would be funny, so she turned the lights out and carried a lit candle over to the bar to set in between us. She said we could now enjoy our "bromantical candlelit dinner". She is a riot!:tantrum::smiley_blackeye:

Lol! Nothing wrong with a little bromance... I guess...

Your wife gotcha!!!

Tonight, playing ball with my son in the backyard, I introduced the concept of the "ghost runner." He caught on pretty quick once we cleared up the fact that they were not actual ghosts running on the bases. His ghost runners outscored mine with the final score after 2 innings of 7 - 2. Life is good.

Here is how Brutus looked last night laying on his recliner in the basement while I checked emails and got caught up on the computer last night about 2am. Must have had a rough day laying on the porch or something. Maybe he had to bark a couple times at the mailman or a runner or something. At least I have an excuse for looking like this in the morning!

I started today doing a test run with a smoker that's new to me, but I finished the day spending/saving money. We spent a few hours at the Toyota dealership and I drove a new car home. Currently I'm driving a minimum of 118 miles a day for work and usually over that. My 2000 4x4 F150 is killing my pocket money. I doubt I'm getting more than 12 a gallon right now, the old gal is tired. I have been looking at all the little trucks and lots of cars and I decided on a Corolla and I'll be keeping my truck for hunting and winter use. My bed is shot but I found a clean used one for $700 and I have a buddy who can get me after market doors, and cab corners etc for cheap. So through the summer I'll be putting some money into my truck, but in the mean time I just jumped to 40+ a gallon with today's purchase. I'll easily make the payment in what I'm saving in fuel costs for the truck, plus I'll drive the company truck when I can.

Nice looking car badger!

My wife's suburban took a dump Sunday. Had to have it towed cause it was missfiring so bad. What's good, everything was covered under powertrain warranty!
