Watch the last 2 spring games! NUFF SAID....:smiley_coolpeace:

Does anybody watch the damn game or put any stock in anymore?!?! He looked like SHIT in both of them!!! Burrows played like Tom Brady in both! Haskins played like a world beater as well in this past spring game! Barrett threw yet another errant pass illadvised pass on his second drive that was picked off and never played another down!

I stand by my thoughts as you guys that think opposite of me should stand by your own. I've said my peace and believe if UM grew a set and would have started either Burrows or Haskins from the start we'd prolly be undefeated with a much better offensive attack that can both pass and run and put far more points on the scoreboard than we do now. Juzt my opinion and I ain't changing it.....rotflmao

I'll admit, I've never watched a spring game, but I just watched an abbreviated version on youtube, and I have to admit you're right. Burrows definitely has pro-like ability. It'll be a shame if he doesn't get any playing time before he graduates. He's a sophomore right?

YouTube is the greatest. I like the full games in 30 minutes. Snap to down, snap to down, cuts out all the BS.

When I was a senior in high school, burrow was a freshman. He played for a rival school on the other side of the county. And even when he was a freshman he straight tore it up, in basketball as well. I think if he hadn't broke his thumb a few weeks ago he Would have been in last Saturday in front of Haskins. Hopefully he gets a chance to start a few games and see what he has.

Jamie, I do agree with your assessment of all the other problems on the football team as well. What does this say about UM and the rest of the coaching staff?!? They've hauled in some great talent over the past several years so what's up with that?

all of this points to a lack of continuity, which translates directly to miscommunications between coaches and/or confusion, especially for young players. Urban has lost several coaches, and some very talented young players at key positions. takes time to make the machine run smoothly for four quarters. high school talent does not guarantee production in college. J.T. Barrett is not a pocket passer or an NFL prospect, but he can play. if we can run the ball well enough, the passing game will improve. no remedy for our young, bad secondary besides more coaching and more experience. or better players.

Clearly something is off. Barrett seems a bit inaccurate but his receivers look awfully lazy. He has had some spectacular receivers over the years and that helps with stats and confidence.

I just think OSU has a great team on paper but the cogs just don't fit like they should.

Running backs getting more touches would surely help.

Go Blue!

BTW our QB1 looks like a freshman. Tight with no confidence. Dude watched the jumbotron more than run the huddle.

Just a humble observation from a college football nut. The talent is there. The main element that I see missing from Buckeyes football is unity. There is no team cohesion. Good teams typically rally behind the quarterback and the head coach. I don't see anybody on the team giving a fuck about either one. What I see is a bunch of big headed individuals who think the rest of the team should put them on a pedestal. Naturally this creates push back from others on the team. I don't think they respect Barrett and as a result are not willing to play hard for him. I think theres too much division between each aspect of the team. Your defensive lineman are not good friends with your secondary. The front four on offence aren't friends with your receivers or running backs. It seems like every little group is in there own little click and each one has someone thats trying to be a superstar. The talent is there. I have seen it. The second half come back against Indiana was done as a team.

I believe the problem lies in the way that urban Meyer is managing the team. I think he tries to run it as a corporation where he is the CEO and he tells his coaches the VPs what he wants done. It filters down through the assistant coaches all the way to the players. By the time the players are involved they are so distant from the coach that they're not going to fight for that guy, they don't even know him. This not only create separation between each aspect of the team but also between the players and the coach.

I have met a lot of important people in my life, from sharing a first class seat with the then CEO of IBM, to old jungle Jack Hannah. Some of them genuine people, some of them strictly business. Urban is the most egotistical, big headed, narcissist I've ever met. The guy walks in a room expecting everyone to bow. I had the unfortunate experiance of meeting him at a charity event at the columbus zoo and spoke to him for about three minutes, in my opinion that was about 3 minutes too long.

You can be in egotistical asshole off the field all you want. When it comes to your team you better be a leader, someone your team is willing to go out there and blow a knee for. I just don't see that with urban Meyer. Real leaders inspire those behind them to be better, their very nature makes you want to give it your all.

I could very well see and agree that this could be happening Joe. Heck of a recruiter but have wondered WTH on several of his decisions the past couple years. He and all his staff watch film of the spring game and other games and one would think they'd be able to pick up on some of this stuff. Absolutely NOTHING has changed since the Penn St loss last year. OSU got embarrassed and exposed in the game against Clemson and thru the entire off season NOTHING....NADA...... has changed! Did they even have JT practice throwing the football to his receivers? No continuity or go to receiver anywhere?!? He telegraphs every throw and if it's not there it's getting thrown out of bounds or into triple coverage except the opposing DB's are looking back for the ball and defending the way they should! rotflmao

Like you said, it's almost like the entire team knows the other two QBs should be starting but the coaches are just trying to make do with what UM tells them to do. If your QB can only do one thing great and you have no confidence in him throwing then opposing defenses are gonna see that and come after him and stop his one and only thing, the option read play. That's what Clemson and Okie both did.

Didn't have time to watch much football last weekend so I watched a couple of games today on YouTube. I love those full games in 30 minutes clips. Really gives you a great idea of how a team is playing.

First I watch the USC vs Texas game. What an absolute dumpster fire of a football game. Reminded me of kids playing pool, shit shots all over the place. Both of USC and Texas defense looked very strong, both offenses however look like total garbage. It got to the point where I couldn't tell if the offenses were actuslly that bad or were the defenses that good. USC got some movement there towards the end but it was mostly shit shot put it up and hope your receiver comes down with it garbage. Then what really pissed me off was it goes into overtime with back-to-back touchdowns and a field goal. If you assholes could make a one-possession touchdown why the hell didn't you do that in the 3rd or the 4th and save everybody the trouble of watching that junk.

Clemson vs. Louisville. Somebody check that man's paperwork because I'm pretty sure dabo put DeShaun Watson back in a uniform. Their quarterback has his shit together and is an exact clone of watson. Everything right down to his mannerisms at the snap are just like watson. Good-looking defense, spectacular looking offense and very very solid fundamentals. The quarterback even has enough wits about him to take free play big throws down field with an early flag against the defense. Lay one out and if your man comes down with it declined the penalty, if it's intercepted no harm. Little things like that is how you win championships. Clemson is once again the team to beat this year.

Alabama vs. Cupcake Colorado State. Meh. Just meh. I think Ruben and Bo did a fantastic job in the game. It's nice to see Jalen settle down and actually start looking like a quarterback. He's really starting to handle the fundamentals but he's still the weakest link, and his wobbly ass passing leaves a lot to be desired. As usual the Alabama defensive line is on point as usual. Those boys won't just eat your lunch, they will show up at your house and eat your dinner also. The secondary needs a little work however, they just keep giving guys too much room. I think the team looks better now than they did last year so I will look for them to continue to improve. If they played Clemson again today they would get beat again though.

Dabo Sweeney with Clemson made a great statement the other day. He said it's not enough to just go out and snag up 5 Star recruits you have to find the right fit of personality. He said he's ran off a lot of great players because of attitude.

Look at JT's body language and facial expressions when one of his receivers misses a catch. He kind of slumps his shoulders and his facial expression is "aww man, really, again, come on" he blames the receiver, and completely ignores the fact that might be the first good catchable ball he's given him all game. He also does this on shit passes. A good quarterback would look at his receiver and say don't worry about it man, that's on me, I'll give you another one. Talent Is there there's just no unity

I believe in giving JT a fair shake but it's been long enough already. When you replace all facets of the what was presumed the issue after last season and you still got the same issues then it's TIME to address what's left and thats giving the next leader of the Buckeye offence his due. His replacement, in my opinion, will address most of the team issues that you all have wrote about. Reality is he will continue to play decent with the schedule ahead until October 28th and we'll will sit back and see alot of what we are bitching about repeat itself. Just my 2 cents.

Who would of thought osu and michigan fans would all be irate about both of their qb's performance so far. As of now, i would trade Speight for any other QB in the Big Ten except the nebraska and Rutgers QB'sz

I'll take that trade just for shits sake!

The real sad reality is we have two guys sitting on our bench that would prolly start on any D1 school and would prolly be honing their skills and could do well in the draft and have a decent shot at the next level! Hell, our 4th string,Martell prolly ain't too bad himself but sadly, we'll never know unless JT gets benched or worse yet gets hurt.

SMH on the wasted talent!
