Ok, I'm out on the ground in " Scrape Alley ". Rain isn't bad as radar predicted...yet. I found new scrape & rub, was able to get past a doe & fawn browsing.

Yeah, it started raining and where I was headed it was pouring so I made dinner for the wife instead lol
I saw a heck of a big bodied deer standing in a power line right of way as I was driving down the road a bit. Didn't see antlers, or maybe they were broken, or just a big ass doe. Hopefully this rain will be out of the way & the morning will find me in the climber.

Maybe I don't like killing deer after all? Ha. Had a perfectly symmetrical, mature 8 there for the takeing at 33 yards. Great lenghth, out past his ears, weak brow tunes and not very girth. stud body. and let him walk. Ha.

Great hunt. Definitely a pivotal one no matter how my season turns out.

Seen 2 doe and 2 bucks tonight. 2 doe eating and along comes a small/medium 8 pt. That runs them off. 15 minutes later I'm leaving and spot the field. 70 yds or so from my spot is the one I'd take.... Makes me wonder if he'd of come in to some "live bait" had they not gotten run off. Fun night none the less for raining and blowing out.
Day two of bowcation and I'm in a ground blind looking over a scrape line. This wind is just too much for me to wanna climb into my stand. This spot I'm in today showed great activity last week on the cams.
